About the Role

For a Top AI Startup, we are seeking a highly motivated and capable Account Executive based in Tokyo, Japan, to join their rapidly growing business. You will take full ownership of inbound leads — from qualification to closing — driving predictable revenue growth and ensuring customers experience the full value of AI Agent solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Management & Sales Execution:

  • Own the entire inbound sales cycle from initial inquiry to deal closure, managing qualified leads from marketing and partnerships
  • Rapidly respond to inbound prospects, conduct discovery calls, and identify fit based on customer needs and priorities
  • Meet and exceed sales quota through efficient pipeline management and conversion optimization
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM data hygiene to ensure visibility into performance and pipeline health

Customer Engagement & Solution Consulting:

  • Understand customer business challenges and demonstrate how our AI products can create measurable value
  • Conduct consultations and solution walkthroughs to guide clients through evaluation
  • Collaborate with consulting teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term satisfaction

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness
  • Contribute to improving inbound sales playbooks, messaging, and qualification frameworks
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the existing customer base

Qualifications

  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English communication skills
  • More than 5 years of experience in B2B SaaS or technology solution sales, preferably in an inbound or SMB/mid-market sales motion
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding quota in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Strong presentation and consultative selling skills with C-level and technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) and data-driven sales reporting
  • Understanding of AI, automation, or SaaS technologies preferred
